Developing a strategy is not following a sector or industry recipe or copying a competitor’s strategy or doing what has always been done. We take a strategic view when developing the strategy. This means looking forward, backward, from above, below, sideways and beyond.
Strategy development
It is often thought that strategy development is purely about looking ahead and is based, among other things, on expected developments and innovations. However, we cannot look forward unless we look back. Any good vision of the future must be rooted in an understanding of the past. In addition, we want to look from above, like a helicopter over a forest, from below, understanding the smallest details, sideways, so that creativity and intuition are brought in and beyond, to map the expected future.
